In the case of a 15-year-old patient presenting with severe crowding and crossbite of the upper front teeth, the etiology of such malocclusions is often multifactorial, including a mismatch between jaw size and tooth size, potential developmental influences, and possible habits like prolonged thumb sucking. A comprehensive examination, including X-rays, photos, and impressions, was conducted to assess the severity of the crossbite and crowding. A personalized treatment plan was formulated, and the patient opted for traditional braces. Due to the significant crowding, removal of the upper and lower first premolars was necessary to create space for aligning the teeth. The treatment spanned about 18 months, though this can vary from person to person. Post-treatment, retainers were provided, and we have been conducting regular follow-ups to ensure that the treatment results are maintained. Our consistent follow-up care focuses on maintaining good function and esthetics for the patient. The patient's photos from a 5-year follow-up serve as proof of how stable and successful our treatment results are.
